Southside At McEwen nabs six tenants

Southern Land's Cool Springs retail project scheduled for fall '12 open

Southern Land Co. announced six new retail additions to its Southside @ McEwen retail project.

The new arrivals will be women's wear retailer Blush Boutique, fast casual Asian restaurant Pei Wei, Uncle Classic Barbershop, frozen yogurt purveyor 32 Degrees, Hot Yoga and an unnamed high-end wine and liquor store.

Five of these tenants will occupy an average of 2,000 square feet of space within the 40,000-square-feet in-line retail portion of Southside, currently under construction and scheduled to open in Fall 2012. Nashville’s Hot Yoga will occupy 4,100 square feet of ground floor space in the McEwen Building, which is now 97 percent leased.

Southside already includes a Whole Foods Market, the McEwen Office Building and a stand-alone Bricktops restaurant. The entire project includes 95,000 square feet of retail space.

“These top-tier retailers are entering the Cool Springs market for the first time,” said Paul Neuroth, Southern Land's senior vice-president of leasing. “We are very proud that they have chosen Southside @ McEwen to launch their ventures, and we look forward to collectively building a superior shopping and entertainment experience.”
