MedQuist names HR chief

Longtime Nortel exec comes over from Ronald McDonald Charities

Clinical documentation venture MedQuist Holdings has recruited a veteran of Nortel Networks to be its senior vice president of human resources.

Bill Donovan has more than 25 years of HR experience, but was most recently executive director of Ronald McDonald Charities in North Carolina's Research Park Triangle. Before 2009, he worked at Nortel Networks as that company's senior VP of HR for six years and senior VP of business transformation for three.

Franklin-based MedQuist, which this year went public and streamlined its corporate structure, employs more than 12,000 people in the United States and India.

"The recent MedQuist-M*Modal transaction positions us as a premier provider of clinical documentation-driven solutions," said Vern Davenport, chairman and CEO of MedQuist Holdings. "As we prepare to take the organization to the next level of operational scale and performance, we are focused on continuing to enhance our senior leadership team. With more than 25 years of proven HR leadership at world-class companies, Bill understands what it takes to manage and drive organizational strategies within a global company."
