Cumberland Pharmaceuticals names new CFO
Veteran health care finance exec Rick Greene has been named CFO at drug developer and marketer Cumberland Pharmaceuticals.
Greene will step into his new role next Tuesday. He has been Cumberland's interim vice president of finance and accounting since April, when former CFO David Lowrance left for a job at a Seattle company. During his two-decade career, Greene has been CFO of specialty hospital company Surgical Alliance and director of financial operations at Phycor.
Most recently, he has held leadership roles at accounting firm Crowe Horwath and Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain. While at Crowe, he led the team that helped prepare Cumberland for its summer 2009 initial public offering.
"Rick is uniquely qualified to help drive growth and operational excellence at Cumberland," said A.J. Kazimi, Cumberland's CEO. "In addition to a deep knowledge of our operations, he brings extensive experience in health care financial management and accounting that will be key to our Company's continued success."
Shares of Cumberland (Ticker: CPIX) closed Wednesday trading at $5.75. Year to date, they're down about 4 percent.
