CBL & Associates is investing in a seven-figure renovation of RiverGate Mall that will take most of this year.

The Chattanooga-based mall operator said today its work at RiverGate will include flooring and paint as well as "all new amenities such as soft seating areas and décor." A spokeswoman for the company (Ticker: CBL) said its local plans call for a multi-million dollar project, but that detailed spending plans are not being made public. CBL also is investing in properties in Chattanooga, Kansas City and Burnsville, Minn.

The investments in RiverGate comes shortly after new tenants Claire's, D.E.B., Sport Seasons, Mastercuts, John's Cheeseburger and Auntie Anne's have opened their doors. CBL also said the center is now home to the first Best Buy Mobile store in Nashville.
