LBMC recruits assistant Revenue commissioner

Department's ex-ECD liaison to consult on tax strategies

Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain has hired Jennifer Hagan-Dier as a senior manager in its state and local tax division.

Hagan-Dier was previously assistant commissioner at the Tennessee Department of Revenue, as part of which she was also economic and community development liaison. In that role, she was involved in the high-profile relocations to Tennessee of Volkswagen and Hemlock Semiconductor, among others, as well as Nissan’s 10-figure investment in electric-car technology at its Smyrna manufacturing complex.

In her role at LBMC, Hagan-Dier will consult with businesses on state and local tax compliance needs as well as helping business in Tennessee or moving here maximize the incentives available to them.

Before her time at Revenue, Hagan-Dier was a federal judicial clerk for the Honorable Judge Thomas A. Wiseman and practiced law with Mayer Brown LLP in Chicago. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and earned her law degree from DePaul University College of Law.
