With a recent Florida acquisition, American Pathology Partners has added to its laboratory holdings.

The Brentwood-based business on Monday purchased the laboratory assets of Palm Beach Pathology, a Florida firm with more than 60 years of experience in its community. With the deal, American Pathology now owns three labs across the country. Terms were not disclosed.

“We are very pleased to be expanding the company’s footprint into Florida, particularly with such a well-regarded and longstanding group as Palm Beach Pathology, “ said American Pathology CEO Robert Yeager.

American Pathology was launched in 2008 with the goal of building “a national network of pathology laboratories in partnership with local pathologists.” The company is led by chairman Marty Rash, the former boss of Province Healthcare and current CEO of RegionalCare Hospital Partners, and backed by financial firm New Enterprise Associates.
