Search firm spins out of Kraft

Ten-year-old venture changes name to Focus Search Partners

Kraft Search Associates, the executive search firm focused on the health care sector, is spinning off from regional accounting firm KraftCPAs.

As part of the move, the 10-year-old venture has changed its name to Focus Search Partners. It will continue to run offices in Nashville, Dallas and Denver and conduct executive search assignments from C-level to vice-president positions as well as for board of director members.

We are delighted to establish Focus Search Partners and anticipate continued expansion to meet the complex needs of the burgeoning healthcare industry,” said founder President and CEO Paul Frankenberg.  “While we are very eager to become Focus Search Partners and continue with our growth, we appreciate our long and rewarding partnership with KraftCPAs.”

Frankenberg launched his company in February 2001 and aligned it with  KraftCPAs in October of that year. Since then, the firm's team has grown to seven, with the most notable name among them Jim Lackey, the former CEO of Passport Health Communications.

“KraftCPAs was pleased to have Paul affiliated with our firm during the incubation of his business and to help him achieve the growth necessary for a successful stand-alone company, said KraftCPAs Chief Manager Vic Alexander. We anticipate that Paul and his team will continue to prosper and expand their presence in the healthcare industry. The joint venture has been beneficial to Paul and to KraftCPAs. We wish him continued success.”
