Blackstone building big brew operation
Local microbrew will bottle beer on Clifton
Local microbrewery Blackstone Bottling will soon be resuming bottling and keg operations in Nashviile.
The company, perhaps best known for its West End brewpub, is set to build a 12,560-square-foot warehouse on Clifton Avenue near Tennessee State University for bottling and distribution operations.
Blackstone had used a Maryland brewery for its bottling operations until that brewery was bought out. Blackstone had been kegging its own beer until late 2009.
Carden Co. pulled the permit worth a little more than $1 million Friday. The move comes about a year after Yazoo Brewing moved forward on plans to move from its space in the Marathon Motor Works complex to Gulch-adjacent space on Division Street.
