Continuing Opryland work

Gaylord Opryland's flood-damaged accounting department is the latest division of the hotel to get flood repair work. D.F. Chase has the $1.1 million contract.

South Inglewood church improvements

The First Baptist Church of South Inglewood on Ann Street is building a new sanctuary. The Ann Street congregation is spending $3.3 million with Southland Constructors on a three-floor, 19,439-square-foot worship space that will replace a 14,000-square-foot building that does not comply with city setback rules.  The church is also adding 48 parking spaces.

More tenants at 100 Oaks

The fifth floor of the 100 Oaks tower is getting a $294,000 rehab from Batten & Shaw. The space will be used for Nashville Pharmacy. In addition, Consolidated Builders is taking a 2,400 square-foot first floor suite back to white box status for a future, unnamed tenant.

… Including Panera

Panera Bread looks to be the latest national chain to cash in on the VUMC-fueled revitalization of 100 Oaks. Conboy & Mannion Contracting has the $220,000 contract to finish out a 3,484 square foot shell on Powell Avenue for the sandwich chain. Home goods chain Kirkland's early this month said it also will open a 100 Oaks location.

Centennial adds research space

Flow Construction will rehab a 16,200-square-foot section of the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center’s space in Centennial Medical Center’s Atrium Building for a drug development unit. The job totals $1.2 million.

Target reopens, improves

The Lebanon Pike Target is wrapping its flood rehab work and tacking on some new amenities in the process. MCDR Construction has the $600,000 deal to add a pharmacy and a grocery and produce section to the store.

Because we need more froyo places

Pinkberry has contracted with Commercial Concepts Southeast on a $240,000 deal to prep 2,446 square feet for its West End location, which is scheduled to open in October.

Medical moves

And a few quick hits from the medical community: Saint Thomas Health Services is relocating one of its Baptist Sports Medicine clinics to the Mt. View Marketplace on Murfreesboro Road. Branch Building Group is handling the 2,000-square-foot job for about $12,000. Just a few miles to the north, a partnership between Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Fresenius Medical Care is rehabbing some space on Rachel Drive north of Nashville International Airport for a dialysis clinic. W.T. DuBois is on the job, which is worth $96,000.
