The Nutro Company, a boutique pet-food manufacturer and subsidiary of Cool Springs-based Mars Pet Care, has signed a lease for more than 200,000 square feet of Wilson County warehouse space.
Duke Realty announced the lease for 207,518 square-feet in its Park 840 Logisitics Center on Central Pike near the Gladeville community. The industrial park includes more than 600,000 square feet.
Nutro's manufacturing facility is within the Lebanon city limits and much of the company's distribution was being handled out of that location, with other warehousing site scattered throughout the Cedar City.
The terms of the lease were undisclosed, but second-quarter data from CB Richard Ellis listed the average lease rate in the Elm Hill Pike/I-40 East market as $3.80, which would put Nutro's annual lease payments at almost $800,000.
