Farmers Market readies to reopen indoor section

$370K permit pulled for 'Market House'

While the exterior areas of Nashville's Farmers' Market reopened shortly after the flood waters receded from Bicentennial Mall, the indoor Market House has remained shuttered.

Steps have been taken to rectify that.

A permit was issued Friday for flood repair work for the indoor space – populated with a handful of restaurants and shops, as well as providing areas for group meetings. According to the permit, Knestrick Contractor will handle the $371,000 job.

Among the tenants in the Market House was iconic Nashville meat-and-three Swetts', which has since opened a new location in Green Hills.
