State Sen. Diane Black (R-Gallatin) will be the first candidate to air television ads in the 6th Congressional District race to succeed retiring Rep. Bart Gordon (D-Murfreesboro).
According to information obtained by NashvillePost.com, Black's campaign has spent $170,000 on ads that will run starting tomorrow through July 4. Records show that the campaign will air commercials on cable television through June 4 and then begin airing on broadcast TV after that.
The ad will also start running on Black's Web platforms later today.
Other contenders in the GOP primary are retired Maj. Gen. David "Dave" Evans, real estate agent Gary Mann, Bruce McLellan, businessman Kerry Roberts, state representative Jim Tracy and former Rutherford County party chairman Lou Ann Zelenik.
