Health care IT firm announces launch

Business focused on improving medical implant outcomes

A new health care information technology firm focused on the medical implant market announced its official launch today.

InVivoLink provides technology to hospitals, physicians and medical device suppliers that captures clinical and financial data before, during and after implant surgeries in order to improve financial and operational results and patient safety. The company, led by founder and CEO Ryan Wells, has clients in four states and has set up shop in Burton Hills.

"We believe there is a direct relationship between patient safety and how well the physician, the hospital and the implant manufacturer coordinate activities throughout the continuum of care," Wells said in a statement.

The firm’s clinical advisors include Rock Morphis, managing director of Heritage Capital Partners, former AIM Healthcare CEO Jim Sohr and vice president of Sandbox Industries Drew Turitz.

Before InVivoLink, Wells spent 13 years at DePuy Orthopaedics. Former HealthStream employee Adel ElMessiry is the company’s chief technology officer and John Bass, previously with Global Healthcare Exchange and Titan Management Group, is chief operating officer.
