Vasterling named Ballet CEO

Organization also names former board interim executive director

Paul Vasterling has been named CEO of Nashville Ballet in addition to his position of artistic director.

Vasterling will this year start his 13th season at the Ballet, which has steadily grown in recent years but recently lost its executive director to the Nashville Symphony.

“With the departure of Andrea Dillenburg, who was an integral part of the Ballet’s growth, it is a good time to reevaluate the current structure of the organization and utilize the unique skills, both artistically and administratively, that Paul Vasterling brings to this organization,” said Ballet board President Dan Slipkovich. “He will provide a cohesive leadership role expanding and guiding Nashville Ballet into the next decade.”

Separately, Jacqueline Hutton has been named interim executive director, effective Monday. Hutton, a former Ballet board member, will run the organization for the next eight to 12 weeks and help coordinate the Ballet's 25th anniversary activities.
