That's a lot of rock
T.W. Frierson has the contact for a huge new building for OHM International Granite Sales. Plans calls for 5,200 square feet of office space, an additional 561,609 square feet of inventory stock and an unfinished, second-floor shell for future expansion. The $5.2 million project is at 501 Bakertown Road off Interstate 24.
Used-car lot gets new office space
The used car lot at 5907 Charlotte Pike is expanding its office footprint. Tagh Mohammed-Kah has the contract to build a $228,615, 4,500-square-foot office building. It's an expansion of a non-conforming use which has already been approved.
Deja Vu [improving] all over again
Gentleman's club Deja Vu is putting up a wall - a six-foot parapet wall on all sides of its prominent building to be exact. Boom Sign and Lighting has the $16,000 contract for the club at 12th and Demonbreun. The application indicates new signage will be addressed in a future permit.
Six new townhouses at Tulip Cove
Marquis Homes has pulled six permits - each worth between $123,000 and $126,000 - for new units at its Tulip Cove development on Tulip Grove Road. It's the second phase of the Hermitage project.
State office renovations
The State of Tennessee has contracted with DWC Construction for a small upgrade to the 17th floor of the Davy Crockett Tower on James Robertson Parkway. The $9,000 job is for the Tennessee Higher Education Commission.
