SouthComm adds to board
Mark Oldham has joined the board of directors of SouthComm, the parent of NashvillePost.com and a number of other regional publications.
Oldham is president and partner of Uniguest, a company providing information services to travelers in hotels. Previously, Oldham was CEO of US Hospitality, a publisher of hotel guest directories, which acquired Uniguest in early 2009 and kept that company's name.
“We are really pleased to have Mark join our board,” said SouthComm CEO Chris Ferrell. “He brings a wealth of experience in custom publishing and in the issues encountered when growing a company. I am so pleased to be able to draw on his expertise.”
Oldham, who led US Hospitality on to the Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing companies, also has served on the boards of CheckVelocity, Marathon Computer Corp. and CityAmerica.com. He is a member and past president of the Downtown Rotary Club and chair-elect of Second Harvest Food Bank.
“This company is positioning itself uniquely to face the 21st-century challenges of competing in the dissemination of local news and information both in print and online,” he said of SouthComm. “The vision of Chris Ferrell and Townes Duncan is motivating, fascinating and ground-breaking.”
