Promoted exec joined auto maker from Bentley in May

Nissan Americas has promoted David Reuter to vice president of corporate communications from senior director, effective Jan. 1.

Reuter, 39, joined the Cool Springs-based car maker in May from Bentley Motors, where he oversaw public relations and communications for almost two years. During his career, he also has worked at Ford Motor and been posted in a number of international locations, including Tokyo and Cologne, Germany.

"We are pleased to welcome David Reuter to his new role leading the Communications function across Nissan Americas," said Chairman Carlos Tavares. "David will play a critical role in strengthening our Communications capabilities and implementing an improved level of process, alignment and capability across the region."
