Brentwood-based PHS Correctional Healthcare has hired Patrick Turner as its new director of business development.

PHS, a subsidiary of America Service Group (Ticker: ASGR), provides health care to patients in 150 jails and prisons in 20 states. Beginning in 2011, Turner will be managing the company's business efforts in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Utah, Oklahoma and Colorado.

"His many years of proven success in corrections, along with a wealth of knowledge and strong relationships with organizations in our target markets make Patrick a huge asset to PHS."

Turner has more than 29 years of corrections experience. He spent the past 20 with Aramark as director of business development with foods and commissary and facilities management.
