Lennox Hearth Products has named David Hazelwood its vice president of operations. Hazelwood comes to the Nashville-based maker of fireplaces and stoves having been VP of manufacturing for parent company Lennox International’s commercial division in Dallas.

Hazelwood also has been overseeing the company's fireplace plant in Union City since early this year. He will continue in that role while also supervising factories in Auburn, Wash., and Laval, Quebec.

“David’s contributions have been outstanding over the last several months and the entire company has truly benefited from his experience and insight,” said Wendy Howells, vice president and general manager of LHP. “Further, he’s taken the time to get to know our operations on a level that demonstrates total commitment to our business objectives. We could not be more delighted to have David accept a permanent position at LHP.”

LHP announced a year ago it was moving its HQ to town and quickly picked Ameriplex at Elm Hill as the home for its 60 corporate employees.
