Dunkin' Donuts to add Nashville stores

Chain targets doubling of local network by 2016

Dunkin' Donuts said today it has signed agreements with two franchisees to open five stores in Nashville by 2016.

The plan would double Dunkin' Donuts' local footprint, which currently stretches from Hickory Hollow to Bellevue. The company also said it will open locations in Cookeville and Crossville starting next year.

The local growth will come through exsiting franchisee Sweet Liberty LLC, which is run by Keith Deerkoski and Allen Brown Jr., two former executives at Investment Scorecard.

During the first half of 2010, Dunkin' Donuts has opened 75 new restaurants in the U.S. and signed 72 development commitments with franchisees.

"Dunkin' Donuts is excited to expand its footprint in and around Nashville with the opening of these new restaurants," said Grant Benson, vice president of franchising and market planning. "Our secret to success is our passionate franchisees who provide a high-level of customer service to our guests every day, and we're confident both groups will cultivate lasting relationships in their respective communities."
