The Nashville School of Law has recruited Tennessee Ethics Commission member Dianne Neal as assistant instructor. Neal, who will officially join the NSL faculty next month, will teach the Tennessee Bar Exam Skills and Review course.
After starting her career at a private law firm, Neal spent six years as Tennessee Assistant Attorney General, was the chief legal counsel to Gov. Ned McWherter and general counsel to the Tennessee Regulatory Authority.
Following those jobs, Neal – who is married to Neal & Harwell attorney Jim Neal – also served as president and CEO of what is now the Adventure Science Center and in 2006 took her seat on the Tennessee Ethics Commission.
“Bringing this level of experience into the classroom, particularly as our students begin their preparation for the Bar Exam, is invaluable,” said Judge Joe Loser Jr., dean of the Nashville School of Law. “Ms. Neal’s exemplary service to Tennessee will be an example to our students as they begin practicing law across our state.”
