Veteran private bankers jump to Nashville Bank & Trust

Both were first vice president at different SunTrust units

Nashville Bank & Trust has recruited veteran bankers ­ Peggy Craig and Bill Farris. Both have been named senior vice presidents of private banking at the five-year-old company.

Craig comes to Nashville Bank & Trust from SunTrust Bank, where she had been first vice president in the wealth and investment management division since 1997. Before that, she had spent time in the private banking group of the former Commerce Union Bank. She is a former board member of Junior League of Nashville, Prevent Blindness Tennessee and the YWCA of Middle Tennessee and a current board member of Cheekwood Botanical Gardens.

Farris also comes to Nashville Bank & Trust from SunTrust, where he was first vice president and senior lender in the private wealth management group. He has spent almost four decades in Nashville banking and is a former member of the board of directors of Tennessee Venture Capital Inc. and Mid-Cumberland Area Development Corp.
