The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority has promoted Amy Armstrong vice president and chief people officer, a new position at the organization.
Armstrong, who was formerly assistant vice president of human resources, joined the Airport Authority in 1995 after spending more than two decades in the U.S Army. During her time as a military intelligence officer, she rose to lieutenant colonel and spent time in the continental United States as well as Korea, Germany and Turkey.
Armstrong founded the Airport Human Resources Consortium and has been instrumental in having it recognized as a committee under Airports Council International. She currently serves as the group's chairman.
