Passport Health hires CTO

Health care IT veteran most recently with Cerner

Franklin-based Passport Health Communications Inc. today announced Seth Rupp as its new chief technology officer, where he will be responsible for leading development, infrastructure management and project management for the revenue cycle management firm.

Rupp, whose career includes work for Grant Thornton and Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), most recently served as vice president and executive leader for the academic and children's segment of Missouri-based health care IT company Cerner Corp.

“Seth brings deep health care IT knowledge to Passport. His breadth of experience from running a development group to implementing software to managing customer relationships will add tremendous value across a variety of activities. He also has executive experience with companies like Passport that are growing rapidly,” said Passport CEO Scott MacKenzie in a statement.

Passport works with about one-third of all U.S. hospitals and more than 5,000 other health care provider facilities in all 50 states.
