Regions credit exec jumps to First Tennessee

New senior VP also spent more than two decades at BofA

David Roddey has joined First Tennessee as senior vice president and credit risk manager.

Roddey brings 35 years of expertise in commercial, community, retail and private banking to his position. As credit risk manager, he will support the company’s private and commercial banking teams across Middle Tennessee.

Previously, Roddey was senior vice president and credit officer for business and community banking at Regions Bank. A graduate of the University of Arkansas and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, he also spent 25 years at Bank of America.

Roddey joins First Tennessee as the bank is shuffling its leadership ranks, installing a hybrid market/line-of-business model. The bank, which ranks fifth in Nashville-area deposits, is now led locally by Doyle Rippee.
