Medical Trade Center brings Osborn onboard
The company looking to build a massive medical trade center in downtown Nashville has added some more local talent.
Market Center Management Company, which announced its intention to build the 1.5 million-square-foot center back in May, has recruited David Osborn from the Health Care Solutions Group to serve as a senior advisor.
In this role, Osborn will be responsible for the “strategic development” of the project, which hopes to open its doors as early as next year. Although a hard dollar figure for the project it has not been nailed down yet, it has been estimated in the hundreds of millions.
Osborn has previously served as the founding executive director of the HCSG, a think tank formed as a partnership between Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Nashville Health Care Council. Prior to that stint, he was the founding executive director of the Center for Better Health at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
In the leadup to the presidential election, The City Paper sat down with Osborn to talk health care reform.
