The State of Tennessee is putting $1.3 million toward work on structures at the Stones River Greenway, part of an ongoing project to link the city’s greenways. This project phase at 3201 Lebanon Pike will be worked on by Batten & Shaw. The work includes construction of a courtyard and repairs to the nearby Tennessee School for the Blind.

U.S. Smokeless Tobacco is putting $838,000 into the renovations of its location at 800 Harrison St. Hardaway Construction Corp. is handling the work.

The West End Station condo project is moving ahead with construction. Joint-McLean Construction Co. has pulled permits for work on six structures. The total value of the work is $729,522.

Ole South Properties is moving forward on its Barnes Crossing townhome development. The company pulled permits for five buildings, each around 1,300 square feet, with a combined $630,000 value.

Another $300,000 is going to the continued work on Nashville International Airport. Permits have been pulled for Messer Construction Co. to rehab parts of concourses C and D.

Tennessee State University has pulled permits for the renovation of its Wilson Hall dormitory. The work, which has been contracted to Southland Constructors, is for the first through sixth floors. The work value is $250,000.

Commercial Buildout has pulled permits for the renovation of a former grocery store space at 1125 12th Ave. S., near the intersection with Edgehill Avenue. The new space will house homeless veterans organization Operation Stand Down. The work is valued at $247,000.

The Lowe’s Home Center on East Campbell Road in Madison will soon be reroofed. Mid South Roof Systems will handle the project, which is valued at $173,530.

Paperwork has been pulled for the renovation of the MetroCenter offices at 431 Great Circle Road for the renovations of the executive offices of CVS Caremark. Solomon Builders has been contracted for the work, which is valued at $130,000.
