Baker taps new managing shareholder
The management structure at Baker Donelson’s Nashville office has changed, the firm announced this afternoon.
Nashville native Scott Carey, who has led the transportation practice, has assumed the role of managing shareholder for the local office.
Carey, who has worked with the firm for his entire career, was the 13th lawyer to join the firm. His practice has focused on commercial and tort litigation. He also serves as the general counsel for the Tennessee Republican Party.
He takes the helm of the office over from Bruce Doeg, who has been tapped by Baker Donelson to chair the business department for the whole firm. In his new role, Doeg will oversee 170 attorneys in the firm’s securities, mergers & acquisition, international, real estate and intellectual property practices across its 14 offices.
