'Superlawyer' to speak at Harvard Law

Certified trial specialist will lecture on advocacy

Nashville attorney and trial consultant Phillip Miller has been chosen to serve on the faculty of a American Association for Justice program on trial advocacy. The program, entitled “The Ultimate Trial Advocacy Course:  Art of Persuasion,” will be held at Harvard Law School from March 21 through March 25. This is the third time that Miller has been invited to participate in the program.

Miller will lecture on using focus groups and story-telling in presenting a case to a jury. Miller will be the only Tennessean who will teach at the March session.

Miller has practiced law since 1980 and is certified as a trial specialist of the National Board of Trial Advocacy for his experience representing injured persons in personal injury cases. In 2008, Miller was named one of the “Super Lawyers” of Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi for the 3rd consecutive year.

Miller received a bachelor's degree and a master's in public administration degree from Pennsylvania State University. He holds his law degree from the Nashville School of Law. He is currently in private practice under the shingle Phillip Miller & Associates.
