Asurion adding to Grassmere operations, Union Street building upgrade, electronics retailer landing at BNA, and more...

Electronics insurance firm Asurion is spending $900,000 to expand its data-center operation in Grassmere Park. Balfour Beatty has the contract.

After $65,000 in work by Retail Builders Inc., another new business will soon open in Nashville West. Sport Clips, a hair salon catering to men, will occupy a 1,070-square-foot space.

Alumni Talley House on Fisk University’s 17th Avenue North campus will get interior and exterior upgrades. The $497,000 capital-improvement project will be handled by Orion Building Corp.

The building at 323 Union, used as office space for a number of law firms, will have a new $275,000 façade. T.W. Frierson is on the job.

There is plenty of work to be done at Concord Mills Shopping Center on Nolensville Road. Two suites, totaling 2,000 square feet, will be finished out as the home of a dental clinic. Two other buildings will have final build-out to prepare for use as an as-yet-unnamed fast food restaurant and retail store. Southland Constructors has the $200,000 contract.

The Shoppes at Belle Meade on Harding Pike will be the home of Sola Salon Studios beauty salon. Two suites at the shopping center will get $305,000 in upgrades from All Professional Construction.

I-Tech X-Perience, an electronics boutique, will be the newest retailer at Nashville International Airport, to be located in Concourse C. Two contracts, totaling $140,000, have been awarded to Morgan Homes.
