For those of you hoping to grab a quick cocktail or bite to eat at Green Hills’ Bistro 215 before your next movie, you’re stuck with Cheeseburger Charley's, Carraba’s or Cheesecake Factory.
NashvillePost.com has learned that Bistro 215, located in the former home of Princeton’s Grill next door to Regal Green Hills Cinema 16, has closed its doors for good as of this week.
A call placed to owner Danny York of Brentwood’s Southern Restaurant Group and Restaurant Development Group, among other groups, went to voicemail as the group’s offices are closed Fridays. As of now, there is no word on the future of the location.
The spot – which logic would suggest is primed for success next to a popular movie theater and the heavily trafficked Mall at Green Hills, has seen a number of concepts struggle over the years. Princeton’s, which also was owned by Southern Restaurant, struggled and underwent the makeover back in 2005 to become Bistro 215.
Similarly, the space two doors down from 215 has seen the Cooker, Fire of Brazil and even longtime Nashville favorite Green Hills Grille flounder.
Southern Restaurant Group also operates Mere Bulles in Maryland Farms, Merchants downtown and about 30 Santa Fe Cattle Co. stores (Ticker: SFHD) in a number of cities.
