Fisk reaches fund-raising goal, big lease in Donelson, Gaylord's Maryland project an early hit, and more...

Fisk University officials say they raised more than $8 million this past academic year, helping them eliminate old debts and keeping them on track for a capital campaign.

Healthcare IT company Emdeon has signed a lease for more than 160,000 square feet in Donelson. The company will aggregate more than 800 local employees who are currently split at three locations.

A Gaylord spokeswoman tells a Maryland paper the hotels and restaurants in the company's new complex there are posting solid numbers. The Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center opened two months ago.

Iasis Healthcare is in talks with a group of Mesa, Ariz., doctors and its landlord there about having a hospital it closed this month reopen under new ownership.
