LifePoint Hospitals has renewed its IT contract with former mother-ship HCA’s information technology subsidiary.

Through the agreement, HCA — Information Technology & Services Inc. will handle the rural hospital operator’s data processing needs through the end of 2017.

This new agreement extends the original 1999 deal struck between the two companies when LifePoint (Ticker: LPNT) first spun out from the hospital giant.
