Preds lease clears Metro Council committees

Full Metro Council expected to vote on Mayor Karl Dean's plan Tuesday evening

Members of the Metro Council's Budget and Finance committee and Convention and Tourism committee voted late today to approve Mayor Karl Dean's changes to the lease between the Nashville Predators and the city.

The vote is likely a good omen for Dean, the Predators and the council sponsor, councilman Mike Jameson as the lease changes will be heard by the entire Metro Council Tuesday night.

Voting against the measure in the Budget Committee were council members Michael Craddock and Duane Dominy, while council members Rip Ryman and Pam Murray abstained. The sole dissenting vote on the lease changes in the Convention and Tourism committee was Dominy.
