Manufacturing outsourcer names new CEO

A former Black & Decker and General Electric executive has been named CEO of The Holland Group, a Murfreesboro-based outsourcer of manufacturing work.

Robert Schwarz comes to Holland with an array of Six Sigma and other manufacturing credentials. Previously, he was a vice president in both Black & Decker's manufacturing industrial business group and GE's North American lighting division.

Holland handles the partial or complete outsourcing of manufacturing plants, bringing its employees and management teams to clients' facilities. The company, which is owned by GW Premier America Inc., runs four plants in Tennessee as well as another six from North Carolina to Oklahoma.
