Newly opened CapStar Bank has announced the team for its new Maryland Farms office. Leading the way is Kathryn Sloan, a veteran of SunTrust's private banking group.

Sloan has spent more than a quarter century in banking. Most recently, she was first vice president from SunTrust's wealth management division. She will be senior VP for CapStar in Brentwood, where the bank has set up a deposit and loan production office in the Gateway II building at Maryland Way and Granny White Pike.

Other senior staff joining CapStar there are Scott McGuire as VP on the commercial side and branch manager Stacie Petring. Previously, both were at Fifth Third Bank and SunTrust.
