People: Chancellor to say 'I do' to fellow jurist

Davidson County Chancellor Carol McCoy is clearing her docket.

McCoy and Circuit Court Judge Roger Page of Jackson are tying the knot on May 26 in a small ceremony to be officiated by none other than Gov. Phil Bredesen. The two judges will keep homes in their respective judicial districts.

Page has been a circuit court judge in the 26th Judicial District since 1998. Prior to that, he clerked for Judge Julia Gibbons, then of the U.S. District Court and now of the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

McCoy is currently serving her second eight year term on the bench. Prior to that, the Vanderbilt School of Law graduate was a partner in the firm of Davies, Cantrell, Humphreys, and McCoy.

No word on where the couple is registered, but we think it safe to assume they are stocked up on robes.
