The Sarah Cannon Research Institute announced two additions to its board today. Dr. Gregg J. Fromell and Dr. Jonathan B. Perlin have become the newest members of the SCRI board of governors.

Perlin works as the chief medical officer and senior vice president of quality for HCA. Previously, he served as the Under Secretary of Health for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and as the CEO of the Veterans Health Administration, leading the nation’s largest integrated health system.

Currently Fromell serves as the executive director of the Office of Human Research at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Earlier in his career, he served as director of cardiovascular clinical research at Rhône-Poulenc Rorer Inc.
