People: NB&T names private-banking chief

Nashville Bank & Trust today announced the appointment of Greg Irvin as senior vice president for private banking.

During his 30-year career, Irvin has served in banking and wealth-management executive roles with Fifth Third Bank, The Bank of Nashville, First American, AmSouth and First Virginia Banks.

In making today's announcement, NBT Chairman and CEO Don Thurmond said in a release that Irvin is "at the pinnacle of his career."

Irvin earned two bachelor's degrees in management and accounting respectively, at the University of Richmond in 1977 and Belmont University in 1985. He is a 1982 graduate of the Tennessee Banking Association School of Banking, held at Vanderbilt University.
