People: First Data founder to lead new holding company
Patrick Vaden, founder of Nashville-based First Data Systems, has been named president and CEO of PropertyInfo Corp., a real-estate information services holding company announced today by its parent, Stewart Information Services Corp. of Houston.
A spokesman for Stewart Information Services said Vaden will remain in Nashville, and will travel to PropertyInfo portfolio companies in Texas, Arkansas, Illinois and elsewhere. First Data's experience in bringing information products to market was an impetus for creating the holding company and elevating Vaden, according to the Stewart spokesperson.
Stewart President and Co-CEO Stewart Morris Jr. explained in a statement that the reorganization will bring Stewart subsidiaries First Data, REIData Inc., Ultima Corp., Stewart Re-Source Inc. and Information Services of Illinois LLC together under Vaden's leadership.
Vaden was also the founder, president and CEO of Cumberland Title, which with First Data was acquired by Stewart four years ago. Prior to the sale, First Data served as Stewart's information-services arm in the mid-America region. First Data is located on Vultee Blvd.
