Brentwood-based Comdata Corp. has named Rod Katzfey senior vice president and general manager for Comdata Processing Systems, which issues payment cards and provides payment-processing services for transportation, retail, service, restaurant and hospitality industries.

Katzfey was senior vice president and general manager for ABN AMRO Merchant Services, a joint-venture company of BA Merchant Services and LaSalle Bank Midwest. Earlier, he led sales organizations for First Data Merchant Services, U.S. Bank and Nova Information Systems. He began his career with Boatmen's Merchant Processing Company.

Comdata Processing Systems was created following Comdata's March 2005 acquisition of Tranvia, a processor and merchant services provider. Comdata is a wholly owned subsidiary of Minneapolis-based Ceridian Corp.
