The Parent Company Inc. has started construction on the Harpeth Hall Upper School building. This work is funded in part by a major financial gift given to the private girls' school by the Ingram Charitable fund. The permit is valued at $5.5 million.

DWC Construction Co. Inc. is renovating the 14th floor of One Nashville Place downtown for Ernst & Young. The permit for the 15,278-square-foot floor is valued at $938,529.

Dutch firm gets lab space
Hardcastle Construction Co. Inc. is renovating 3,500 square feet of a building at 20 Culvert St. for a Akzo Nobel testing laboratory. The Dutch company specializes in healthcare products, coatings and chemicals. The permit is valued at $881,000.

Church of Christ renovating
Southeast Contractors Inc. is doing extensive renovations to East Side Church of Christ at 2518 Gallatin Ave. The permit is valued at $864,000.

Paul Mitchell school under construction
J.E. Crain & Son Inc. is renovating an existing building at 5510 Crossings Circle for a Paul Mitchell Creative Design Beauty Academy. The permit is valued at $771,841.

Former Gilda’s Club space being rehabbed
W.R. Newman & Associates Inc. is rehabbing the existing Gilda’s Club Nashville at 1707 Division St. for office space. The permit is valued at $450,000.

TSU’s McCord Hall interior rehab underway
Corporate Construction Managers Inc. is rehabbing classroom and lab areas of McCord Hall on the Tennessee State University campus. The permit is valued at $304,000.

Hospice space for St. Thomas campus
Turner Universal Construction Co. is rehabbing the third floor of St. Thomas Hospital’s K Tower into an Alive Hospice area. The permit is valued at $190,000.
