CMA names new president

The Country Music Association (CMA) has appointed Victor Sansone, president and general manager of ABC Radio Group Atlanta (WKHX-FM, WYAY-FM, WDWD-AM), as the trade group’s new board president.

Sansone replaces Brooks & Dunn artist Kix Brooks, who now assumes the role of CMA chairman. Outgoing chairman Charlie Anderson, president and CEO of Anderson Merchandisers, remains a board member.

The CMA board’s president-elect is Mike Dungan, president of Capitol Nashville. Its secretary/treasurer is Tim Wipperman, chief creative officer of independent music label Equity Music Group.
