Institutional shareholders indicated to the SEC Tuesday that they have more than 5% stakes in two area companies.

Deutsche Bank disclosed 1.73 million shares of Genesco (GCO) in its money management units. That represents 7.9% of Genesco shares outstanding. Genesco shares opened 12 cents higher to $12.90. Their 52-week range is $10.65-$28.30.

Wasatch Advisors, a money manager based in Salt Lake City, disclosed beneficial ownership of 1.7 million shares of American Healthways (AMHC). The 11.1% stake makes the Utah firm the third largest shareholder, behind FMR Corp. and Wadell & Reed.

American Healthways shares were up 11 cents Tuesday morning to $17.16. Their 52-week range is $11.24-$29.10.
