Hotel Indigo grand reopeningSubmitted by Geert De Lombaerde on Fri, 2013-04-26 12:40Representatives of Winston Hospitality last week hosted local officials and business people at the newly renovated Hotel Indigo Nashville Downtown. The hotel has undergone a $5 million renovation that included the addition of 33 rooms, new soft goods and furniture and a renovated lobby, meeting rooms and fitness center. In addition, the building’s restaurant was remodeled and is now open as The District Bar & Kitchen. The reopening event included live music performed by Jack Scott and Alyssa Jacey as well as a sample of locally produced treats. |

Legal Aid Society Campaign for Equal Justice kickoffSubmitted by Geert De Lombaerde on Tue, 2013-03-12 23:12About 130 local attorneys, elected officials, advocates and community supporters gathered last week to kick off the Legal Aid Society’s 2013 Campaign for Equal Justice. The campaign’s goal is $760,000 and more than half of that amount already has been pledged by 41 law firms and 86 individuals. The Feinstein Foundation, a national nonprofit dedicated to relieving hunger, will partially match donations made between now and April 30. For more info, click here. |

Following a long day of unpacking, Emma staffers, friends and families breaking in the new digs — which feature a bistro area and lots of wooden beams and exposed bricks — kicked back a bit to the sounds of Nashville-based New Orleans style brass band Half Brass. |
