The latest Women in Corporate Leadership Census compiled by Nashville-based CABLE and Lipscomb University’s College of Business shows a 50 percent increase in Tennessee public companies with two or more women on their boards compared to the prior study year. The study was unveiled at CABLE’s recent fourth annual Board Walk of Fame event at Lipscomb’s Allen Arena, where Tennessee House Speaker Beth Harwell and keynote speaker Alice Schroeder, Warren Buffett biographer and director on a number of international boards, spoke to more than 400 attendees.

The second half of our slideshow comes from bytes of knowledge, which recently showed off its new office space in Germantown. Open house guests received tours of the new space and enjoyed music from local band The Kicks, works from various local artists — including b:ok's director of web and software development Garry Hornbuckle — and Mexican fare from a local food truck.
