The Post and partner CABLE on Wednesday hosted the third annual Most Powerful Women symposium at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. The event sponsored by CapStar Bank, Bone McAllester Norton and Frazier Deeter brought together almost 200 people to listen to a roundtable discussion among honorees Stacey Garrett of Bone McAllester, Sherry Stewart Deutschmann of LetterLogic, Jacky Akbari of the Nashville Career Advancement Center and Janet Miller of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. The panel was moderated by Linda Peek Schacht, executive director of the Nelson and Sue Andrews Institute for Civic Leadership at Lispcomb University, who steered the conversation from how the honorees define power to the ways they use their influence and how they are helping shape the future of leadership in Nashville.
