Yeah, perhaps Senator Stacey Campfield is right....the UT administration ought to be spending some of those scare student activity fee to hire someone to speak each year about how stealing Section B seating and scaring young girls during a UT football game is immoral douchebaggery.
The IRS Commissioner during the 2011-2012 federal electioncycle was President George W. Bush five-year appointee Douglas Shulman...
The former Acting IRS Commissioner Steven Miller appointed by U.S. President Obama only came on board during November, 2012 and would have not influenced any of the associated Tea Party groups applications for recognition as 501(c)(4) groups by the IRS before the 2012 elections:
"Acting IRS commissioner Steven Miller has resigned, President Barack Obama announced Wednesday.
"It's inexcusable, and Americans are right to be angry about it, and I am angry about it. Obama said. "I will not tolerate this kind of behavior in any agency, but especially in the IRS."
Given the controversy surrounding this audit, it's important to institute good leadership, Obama said.
"The IRS has to operate with absolute integrity."
Reuters reports Miller has said there is a "strong and immediate need" to restore public trust in the agency, but he will leave the agency in early June.
"It is with regret that I will be departing from the IRS as my acting assignment ends in early June," Miller said in an internal message that was released by the IRS. "This has been an incredibly difficult time for the IRS given the events of the past few days, and there is a strong and immediate need to restore public trust in the nation's tax agency."
Miller became acting commissioner in early November, after Commissioner Douglas Shulman completed his five-year term. Shulman had been appointed by President George W. Bush..."
Easy to figure this one out: sales taxes are regressive and let the working folk contribute more tax revenue to replace those state dollars withdrawn from the budget by cutting the state inheritance tax and the Tennessee Hall Tax on investment income.
Now Mickey, the Founders wanted only white men who owned property to vote. The Founders did a lot of good things but they weren't perfect and this is not the 18th century. Also, the Republicans want to suppress voting for those folks who tend to not support them.
I think the low point for the TN Democratic Party was not Clayton winning the Senate nomination but Forrester and leftwing elements of the Party recruiting a flake like Park Overall.
The more that challange DesJarlais, the more chance DesJarlais will remain and win. Dang! This will work in DesJarlais' favor. DesJarlais should encourage more challengers.
The biggest single-source air polluter in Davidson County is finally being closed, but how about some serious solar investment to offset part of that hydrocarbon baseload?

Victornia Jackson now thinks that she is in heaven? Was she making this observation while doing one of her handstands?
Har, har...wait until she starts to notice the never ending trails of cigarette butts and beverage containers along the public roadways.

Cooper, we don't need no Constitutional Amendment for a Ferderal Voting system. The founders wanted the states to handle this. NO!
