Report: Savoie to rejoin ForceX following acquisition

Luke Savoie will join Midtown-based L-3 ForceX as the newly formed defense contracting company’s top executive, Venture Nashville Connections reports.

The move, which will soon be formally announced, comes after New York City-based L-3 Communications acquired last week what had been called ForceX for an undisclosed sum (read more here).

Savoie (pictured) once worked with ForceX, which was then based in Clarksville. He most recently served as senior vice president of business development for Colorado-based Sierra Nevada Corp. in Colorado.

As part of the deal, former ForceX CEO Tracy Guarino and chairman Joseph Calabrace will not be part of the new entity, according to VNC. Calabrace founded the company in 2004.
