Acadia files for $140M offering
How Acadia plans to get into the black
In a filing prepping investors for the closing of its acquisition of PHC, the former Psychiatric Solutions executives now running Acadia Healthcare detail their six-month numbers — pro forma, the combined company would have lost more than $17 million on revenues of $168 million in large part because of one-time items — and outline some of the strategies they plan to use to guide the combined company toward profitability.
First up is the PHC headquarters north of Boston; shutting that down and moving what's still needed will save Acadia $3.4 million per year. Then there will be an organic growth push on all fronts: "Increasing bed capacity in existing facilities, increasing utilization rates at our existing facilities, leveraging out-of-state referrals to increase volume, developing a national marketing plan and expanding services at existing facilities."
